Do you think your heating and air conditioning systems are efficient enough for your needs?

If you’re in the market for a reliable HVAC service that will not only help install the system for you, but also optimize it and make sure you’re getting the best value for your money, there are a lot of factors you need to consider.

It’s important for you to take your time when you’re choosing a contractor and question them to determine if they’re suitable for the job. Let’s take a look at 4 essential factors you should consider when looking for commercial HVAC services.

Before you can hire a repair service provider, make sure they are state-licensed. Licensed companies are known to provide high-quality services because they have the necessary knowledge and skills. They’re also well-acquainted with necessary expertise about different models and know the right type of equipment that’s required for installation of the HVAC systems depending on the varying needs of their clients.

Another way to determine whether an HVAC contractor is suitable for the job or not is by making sure they offer a wide range of services. This is important because if you ever run into problems with your HVAC system down the line and need to get your system repaired, the initial contractor is usually best suited for that.

The contractor you’ve hired should provide extensive services like installation, repair and maintenance, estimation, etc. so you can avoid jumping from one contractor to another in case a problem arises.

Experience is key when it comes to hiring a reliable HVAC service. Since commercial HVAC units are incredibly different from those used in residential properties, you need to look for an experienced contractor that will take your specific needs into consideration and recommend the best system for your commercial space.

It’s important for you to do your research about the previous jobs they’ve done successfully, and you may even consider getting in touch with some of their clients to understand the overall quality of the services they offer.

Referrals and recommendations play an important role in helping you decide whether the HVAC contractor you’ve chosen is suitable for you. When you’re looking for the services of an HVAC technician or specialist, it’s advisable that you ask people you know and trust to recommend any services they’ve used in the past.

They can help you narrow down your options and give you the confidence you need that the contractor will be able to deliver the task that you’ve hired them for. It will also help you make an informed decision without wasting crucial time.

Once you’ve considered all the factors, don’t forget to interrogate the prospective contractors to determine if they’re qualified to provide a reliable service. It’s also recommended that you do a background check before hiring them to avoid any complications later on.

Nevada is great, but the weather is extreme. We really rely on heating and air conditioning systems all year round. Take care of your investment with regular maintenance checks. Not only do we depend on these systems, but Nevada homeowners also know that they are a big investment.

Regular maintenance and checkups will help to protect your investment. Your furnace, air conditioner, and ventilation components should be examined and maintained at least once a year, according to HVAC professionals. A little tender loving care goes a long way, too. Your system will survive as long as possible if you have it checked by a professional technician once a year. Here are some more compelling reasons to have your HVAC system serviced on a regular basis.

BENEFITS OF HVAC SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

Maintaining your HVAC system on a regular basis will save you money while also keeping you and your family comfortable throughout the year. However, there are a few more significant benefits that Nevada residents should be aware of:

Longer Lifespan. The main benefit of yearly maintenance is that it extends the life of your HVAC system. A furnace and air conditioner have an average lifespan of 10 to 20 years. Some homeowners, on the other hand, report that their HVAC systems can last up to 30 years. How effectively you maintain your HVAC system will determine how long it lasts. It may need to be replaced sooner due to poor maintenance.

Lower Utility Bills. An HVAC system will work better if it is serviced once a year. It’s simple: the more energy efficient your heating and cooling systems are, the lower your utility expenses will be.

Peace of Mind. If you service your HVAC system on a regular basis, you can rest assured that it will not fail when you need it most. Servicing allows your trusted professional to replace worn out parts before they cause more serious and/or costly harm to the system.

Fewer Repairs. HVAC systems that are serviced on a regular basis do not require as many repairs as those that are not. This is because maintenance allows experts to identify and repair concerns before they escalate into a more serious breakdown.

More Indoor Comfort. With adequate preventative care, you can expect a furnace and air conditioning system to function significantly better and enhance indoor comfort.

Better Air Circulation and Quality. Your HVAC system is crucial for more than just cooling and heating a room. It’s also in charge of maintaining optimum ventilation. You won’t have to worry about poor air quality or the collection of irritants like dust and allergies in your house if you have frequent service checks.

GUIDELINES FOR SERVICING AN HVAC SYSTEM

Now that you know the importance of having your HVAC system serviced annually, here are some guidelines.

Air Filters

To determine how often to replace or clean air filters, most firms advise homeowners to consult the manufacturer’s instructions. One of the simplest and most efficient ways to keep an HVAC system running well is to replace or clean the air filters. The entire furnace and air conditioning system will work harder if a filter is clogged and unclean. This will not only raise your energy cost, but it will also increase the likelihood of the system failing. In general, you should change the filter in your HVAC system once a month.

Routine Maintenance

Unfortunately, many homeowners ignore the value of routine maintenance for their heating and cooling systems. You should have your HVAC unit maintained on a regular basis, just like you usually have your car serviced once a year.

You should have your unit serviced twice a year by a certified HVAC specialist. Many homeowners choose to do this at the start of the spring and fall seasons. This guarantees that their cooling and heating systems are in good working order to keep them cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Air conditioners are intricate machines, which means they have complicated problems. That is why we have come. We provide heating and cooling solutions in the Henderson area, such as when your air conditioner is low on refrigerant.

Problems with refrigerant charge are a regular problem we see (amount).

Without a certified technician, there is no way to check the charge of refrigerant in your air conditioning system, but there are signals that you should have it checked.

The chemical that travels through your system to absorb and remove heat from the cooling chamber is known as refrigerant. The refrigerant is converted from liquid to gas and back through the condenser and compressor.

There is a manufacturer-recommended charge for your refrigerant levels due to the compression and condensing stages.

It will be more difficult for your system to complete the cycle efficiently if it does not satisfy this charge. There are two methods to get the wrong refrigerant charge: (1) your system was installed incorrectly (2) there is a leak in your system.

Both of these issues are severe, and it is preferable to learn about them sooner rather than later.

Here are four indicators that your air conditioner’s charge is incorrect:

Note: It is important to note that these symptoms could also be caused by poor airflow. Ensure that you have eliminated the possibility of airflow issues first.

No Cold Air: When your system’s refrigerant levels are low, more heat is trapped in the cooling chamber, making it more difficult to chill the air entering your home. Because the system is unable to adjust and retain the air there for a longer period of time, it sends air out at a temperature that is less than optimal.

Long Cooling Cycles: This symptom is related to the one mentioned before. When the air being pushed into your home is warmer than it should be, your system must run longer cycles to attain the temperatures set by your thermostat.

Higher Energy Bills: These signs and symptoms are linked once again. Your energy bills will rise as a result of your system’s longer cooling cycles. Your system may be working 2 to 3 times harder than it should be while obtaining the same amount of cold air. If you observe a sudden increase in your costs, you should investigate the two warning indicators listed above.

Frozen Refrigerant Lines: When the system’s refrigerant level is too low, the evaporator coil can freeze. This causes ice to form not just on the coil but also on the air conditioner’s surrounding components. This is most likely the cause of ice buildup on your air conditioner.

If you’re in the market for a new filter, you’ve probably heard of HEPA and MERV filtration systems. Both types of filters help to keep airborne contaminants out of your home, but which one is better for your HVAC system? While both are effective, they have some significant differences. While MERV filters can catch a few more allergens, they won’t get rid of all the dust.

MERV filters are less effective than true HEPA filters, and they’re often a bit more expensive than their counterparts. While HEPA filters are usually the most expensive option, they’re also the most expensive. However, they’re also more efficient, capturing up to 75 percent of airborne particles. Plus, they don’t use extra energy like HEPA or MERV filtration systems do.

Of course, not all filters are created equal. Before you purchase your next HVAC filter, make sure you understand how it affects your indoor air quality and energy efficiency.

WHAT IS MERV?

Most residential HVAC filters carry MERV ratings. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. This is not to say that MERV filters are poor quality in reality they are more than adequate for the needs of most homeowners.

MERV filtration works with different particulates and has higher airflow than MERV. But the MERV range covers most indoor airborne particles, which is the most important factor. MERV 11-13 filters remove 20-50 percent of 0.3 to 1.0 micron particulates. This range is more popular than ever, and according to a review of NIH literature, MERV filtration is better than HEPA filtration for most indoor particulate pollution.

WHAT IS HEPA?

HEPA, or High Efficiency Particulate Air filters, are designed for applications where contaminants must be trapped on the first go round. HEPA filters are better for your HVAC system. The MERV filter has better sealing, but is cheaper than the HEPA filter. Nevertheless, MERV-rated filters will not help you to protect your family from contaminants. The MERV filter does a better job at reducing the odor of your house. A MERV one has lower MERV 1 or MERV 2.

HEPA filters are more efficient and effective than MERV ones. They are better for your indoor air quality. And they are more economical. Compared to the MERV ones, the HEPA is more expensive. A MERV 16 filter can improve your comfort and energy efficiency in your home. While MERV FILTERS are more efficient than MERV FILTERS, they are not necessarily safer.

Which is better?

Both HEPA and MERV filtration have advantages and disadvantages. You should choose the one that best suits your needs. If you want to protect your family from contaminants, HEPA filters are better for you. But if you’re indecisive, try MERV-rated filters instead. They are a great compromise between air purity and HVAC efficiency.

MERV is a rating system that classifies filters according to their size and MERV filters are more expensive. A MERV 13 filter is better for your HVAC system because it traps larger airborne particles. It is important to know that your MERV filter should fit the same size and height as the return register of your furnace.

While the HEPA filter is the best option for your HVAC system, it is not ideal for your system. You may want to opt for MERV if you are worried about dust or pollen. A higher MERV rating means that the filter will be more effective at trapping microscopic airborne particles. If you’re concerned about the health benefits of a HEPA filtration system, consult with a technician to determine the best type for your system.

When it comes to HVAC filters, HEPA and MERV filtering options are the best for your home’s comfort. MERV filters can reduce airflow in some home comfort units and should always be installed by a professional. The difference between MERV and HEPA FILTERS is not only cosmetic but also functional.
